Job Summary

This full-time research position focuses on the cutting-edge field of semiconductor laser dynamics and material science. As a Research Associate, you will be responsible for independently designing and conducting experiments using Raman and Terahertz Spectroscopy to analyze advanced materials. Beyond laboratory work, you will play a key role in the academic community by analyzing data, publishing findings in peer-reviewed journals, and presenting results at conferences. A unique aspect of this role is the opportunity to mentor and supervise international students within the 'Lasers and Photonics' Master's program. The position is based in a highly collaborative, international environment, making it ideal for a motivated researcher looking to contribute to the future of THz technology and optical imaging. The role is offered on a fixed-term basis for three years, starting in July 2026.

Required Skills

Education

Master's degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Physics

Experience

  • Professional experience in Raman Spectroscopy and Terahertz Technology is preferred
  • Experience in scientific data analysis and experimental research
  • Demonstrated experience in writing and submitting scientific publications
  • Experience in presenting research results in professional settings
  • Previous experience or aptitude for supervising Master-level students
