Job Summary

This role is part of the EVOLVE project at Bremerhaven University of Applied Sciences, focusing on the development of an enterprise low-code and 'vibe-coding' platform for AI-supported business process transformation. As a Research Associate, you will lead the sub-project 'AI-based Change Support,' where you will develop an AI-driven analysis and recommendation system. Your daily responsibilities include processing anonymized user input from change scenarios, performing semantic clustering, and deriving context-sensitive support via Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG). You will be tasked with designing modular survey logic, modeling data flows, and building an anonymous session management system. This position offers a unique opportunity to work at the cutting edge of LLM application and semantic text analysis, with the explicit possibility of pursuing a doctorate (PhD) while earning a competitive salary under the TV-L E13 pay scale.

Required Skills

Education

Master's degree or University Diploma in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a closely related field (e.g., Data Science/Artificial Intelligence).

Experience

  • Professional experience in the development and evaluation of AI-based analysis and recommendation systems
  • Proven expertise in machine learning, semantic text analysis, or AI system development
  • Technical experience with Large Language Models and stable, interpretable cluster formation
  • Experience in anonymized session management and data flow modeling
  • Experience with semantic representation and pretrained embeddings
