As a Technical Research Assistant at the Federal Institute for Geosciences and Natural Resources (BGR), you will play a vital role in the 'Spectroscopy and Geochemical Analytics' department. Your daily responsibilities will involve performing geoscientific analysis using Raman spectroscopy and chromatographic methods (HPLC/GC-MS). You will be responsible for the technical maintenance, calibration, and care of high-end analytical equipment, including microscope-coupled Raman spectroscopes. Key tasks include sample preparation for geochemical and geomicrobiological studies, method development, and rigorous quality assurance through data evaluation and documentation.
