Job Summary
This leadership role at the Federal Office of Civil Protection and Disaster Assistance (BBK) involves heading the newly restructured 'Administration KRITIS' division in Bonn. You will lead a team of 10 professionals, overseeing the administrative and legal frameworks for protecting critical infrastructure in Germany. Your daily responsibilities include managing budgetary matters, implementing the new KRITIS Umbrella Act, handling administrative fine proceedings, and developing controlling processes for the department. As a key representative of the BBK, you will advise senior leadership and federal ministries while coordinating with national and international partners. This position is ideal for a strategic leader who wants to enhance Germany's national resilience. The role offers a permanent contract, flexible working hours, and the possibility of civil servant status (up to A 15), making it a highly stable and impactful career move within the federal administration.
Required Skills
Education
University Master's degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Economics, Management, or Administrative Sciences; OR Fully Qualified Lawyer (Volljurist) with at least 13 points total across both state exams; OR qualification for the higher non-technical administrative service.
Experience
- Professional experience in risk and crisis management
- Experience in cooperation with federal, state, and local government levels and the private sector
- Professional experience in disciplinary and technical leadership (preferred)
- Experience in handling complex administrative tasks and stakeholder communication
- Experience in change management and organizational development
Languages
Additional
- Willingness to undergo a security clearance (Sicherheitsüberprüfung); readiness to participate in the BBK crisis organization; willingness to undertake occasional business travel; eligibility for salary groups E 13 / A 13 h or higher is required for applicants.
