Job Summary
As an Automotive Functional Safety Engineer at FERCHAU, you will be responsible for the development and implementation of safety-relevant electronics in accordance with ISO 26262 and ASPICE standards. Your day-to-day activities involve deriving, specifying, and validating technical safety requirements, as well as developing comprehensive safety concepts for automotive systems. You will play a critical role in conducting audits, assessments, and risk analyses (such as FMEA and HARA) while collaborating closely with interdisciplinary teams across hardware, software, and system architecture. This position is ideal for professionals who enjoy structured, complex technical challenges and want to work on innovative projects for major OEMs and suppliers. Required Skills
Education
Completed degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automotive Engineering, or a comparable field of study.
Experience
- Professional experience in Functional Safety Management and System Engineering
- Practical experience in quality assurance within the automotive sector
- Proven track record working with ISO 26262 and ASPICE standards
- Experience in conducting technical audits, assessments, and risk analyses
- Experience collaborating with interdisciplinary hardware and software development teams
