Job Summary

This leadership role within the City of Duisburg's Office for Land Management involves overseeing the technical processing and administration of real estate contracts. As the Head of Department, you will lead a dedicated team responsible for land development, revitalisation strategies, and the management of municipal areas. Your daily activities will include negotiating contracts for supply and disposal lines, reviewing technical line plans, and managing easements and land registry entries. You will also represent the department in political committees and administrative boards, drafting formal templates and responding to internal inquiries. Required Skills

Education

University degree (Bachelor or Diploma) in Civil Engineering (Civil/Structural), Utility Engineering, Surveying, or a related technical-engineering field. For civil servants: Eligibility for Career Group 2, First Entry Level of the technical administrative service in NRW.

Experience

  • At least 2 years of professional experience in a relevant technical or engineering field following degree completion
  • Professional experience in land development and urban planning aspects
  • Experience in contract negotiations and legal review of easements
  • Leadership experience or demonstrated potential to motivate and manage a team
  • Experience in drafting administrative templates for political committees
