Job Summary
This full-time scientific role at the Brandenburg State Forestry Enterprise (LFB) in Eberswalde focuses on the 'Forest Development Types' (WET) research project. You will be responsible for researching, evaluating, and documenting forest protection risks under various climate scenarios and emerging pests. Your day-to-day work involves developing new risk management strategies, conducting monitoring procedures, and integrating these findings into forest development models. Required Skills
Education
Master of Science or Diploma in Biology, Ecology, Forest Sciences, Geoecology, Geography, or a related field. A PhD in Natural Sciences is considered an advantage.
Experience
- Professional experience in forest ecology and silviculture is preferred
- Extensive knowledge in forest protection, plant protection, and risk assessment
- Experience with monitoring methods and hazard evaluation in forestry
- Proven ability in scientific research, documentation, and publication
- Experience using IT applications, databases, and GIS software

- Class B driver's license and willingness to drive for work purposes are required. The position is fixed-term until December 31, 2028. Location: Eberswalde, Germany.
