Job Summary
As the Head of Construction Planning, you will play a pivotal role in driving the energy transition by leading and strategically developing the construction planning department. Your day-to-day responsibilities include the disciplinary and technical leadership of a high-performing team, overseeing central network expansion projects across electricity, gas, water, and wastewater sectors. You will be responsible for ensuring that investment programs meet strict project, cost, and quality targets while collaborating closely with external partners, authorities, and internal stakeholders. This role is unique because it offers significant creative freedom to shape a department during a period of organizational transformation. You will develop long-term roadmaps and efficiency programs, ensuring the network infrastructure is ready for future demands. The position is ideal for a strategic leader with a strong technical background in infrastructure who thrives in a dynamic environment with flat hierarchies and a focus on innovation.
Required Skills
Education
Degree in Plant Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, or a comparable technical field. Must possess or meet requirements for a building submission authorization (Bauvorlageberechtigung).
Experience
- Several years of professional experience in a technically oriented environment
- Proven leadership experience in managing and developing technical teams
- Extensive experience in the planning, tendering, and implementation of construction and infrastructure projects
- Experience in strategic management, including the development of roadmaps and multi-year planning
- Experience in managing complex stakeholder environments and handling escalation situations
Languages
Additional
- Must have deep knowledge of German construction regulations (HOAI/VOB). Requires the ability to lead a department through organizational transformation and reorganization.
