As the Head of Power Grid Operations, you will play a pivotal role in leading the transformation and growth of the regional energy infrastructure in Freiburg. You will be responsible for the disciplinary and technical leadership of the department, overseeing the operation, maintenance, and fault clearance of power assets to ensure high supply quality. A significant portion of the role involves technical accountability according to Technical Safety Management (TSM) standards and ensuring all planning, construction, and operational tasks comply with legal and regulatory frameworks. You will drive strategic initiatives, including multi-year planning, efficiency programs, and innovation roadmaps. This position is ideal for a strategic leader who thrives in a technical environment and enjoys shaping organizational structures. Required Skills
Education
University degree in Engineering or a similar relevant academic qualification.
Experience
- Many years of leadership experience within the energy industry
- Several years of experience in a technically oriented environment
- Professional experience in the operation of medium and low voltage networks
- Proven experience in secondary and telecontrol technology
- Experience as a Technical Manager according to VDE and as a Responsible Qualified Electrician (VEFK) is preferred
- Experience in strategic management and cross-departmental decision-making
