Job Summary

This full-time, permanent position within the City of Görlitz's Urban Planning Department focuses on the development and implementation of city-wide energy and climate protection concepts. You will be responsible for coordinating, evaluating, and documenting strategies aimed at optimizing energy use, promoting renewable energy, and achieving sustainability and climate neutrality goals. The day-to-day role involves operative project management for sustainable urban renewal, including the handling of funding programs for both municipal and third-party projects. You will also manage communication and public relations tasks as directed by department leadership. This role is ideal for a professional with a background in environmental engineering or sustainability management who enjoys balancing technical planning with administrative contract management. Required Skills

Education

University degree (Diploma or Bachelor) in Environmental Engineering, Sustainability Management, Climate Protection, Energy Technology, Renewable Energies, Urban Planning, or a related engineering field.

Experience
