Job Summary

As a Project Engineer at the Technical University of Munich's Heinz Maier-Leibnitz Research Neutron Source (FRM II), you will play a vital role in maintaining one of the world's most advanced neutron research facilities. Your daily responsibilities will involve managing sub-projects for the procurement of new and replacement mechanical components, with a specific focus on drive systems, control technology, and building services. You will act as a central coordinator, working closely with nuclear regulatory experts and internal departments like quality assurance and documentation. This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys technical oversight, as you will also lead recurring inspections and maintenance programs to ensure operational readiness. Required Skills

Education

University degree (Diploma or Master) in Electrical Engineering, Control Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering with relevant specialization.

Experience

  • Solid practical expertise in electrical engineering and measurement/control technology
  • Experience working in heterogeneous teams
  • Experience in project coordination involving regulatory authorities and external experts
