Job Summary

This position is part of the 'RnAPhidS' collaborative research project at the Julius Kühn Institute, focusing on sustainable pest control in rapeseed using RNAi-based spray solutions. As a Research Associate, you will be responsible for the scientific design and execution of research to identify RNAi target genes and develop specific dsRNA constructs. Your day-to-day work involves conducting molecular biological and entomological analyses, performing controlled laboratory, greenhouse, and field trials, and statistically evaluating experimental data. You will collaborate with national and international partners and present your findings at global conferences. This role is particularly attractive as it offers the opportunity to pursue a doctorate (PhD) and participate in the 'Accelerating Crop Genetic Gain' international research training group. The position is based in Quedlinburg and provides a structured research environment within a federal research institute.
