Job Summary

This position at the Institute for Cardiogenetics at the University of Lübeck offers a unique opportunity to join the DFG-funded Research Unit FOR 5930, focusing on Athero-Immunology. The successful candidate will engage in cutting-edge research to investigate the immunological and genetic mechanisms driving atherosclerosis. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting experimental research using mouse models, performing molecular and cellular wet-lab techniques, and contributing to advanced genomic analyses such as single-cell RNA sequencing and spatial transcriptomics. This role is highly multidisciplinary, integrating experimental cardiovascular research with integrative genomics and computational biology. Required Skills

Education

Master’s degree or equivalent in molecular life sciences, biology, pharmacy, veterinary medicine, or biomedicine; PhD required for Postdoc track.

Experience

  • Professional experience working with animal models, specifically mouse phenotyping techniques such as pulse wave velocity and blood flow measurements
  • Professional experience in wet-lab molecular biology techniques
  • Experience or strong interest in bioinformatics and computational biology
  • Experience in collaborative multidisciplinary research environments
