Job Summary

As a Team Coordinator for Downstream Processing (DSP), you will lead a specialized group focused on the clinical production of plasmid DNA (pDNA) within a brand-new, state-of-the-art facility in Cologne-Mülheim. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve overseeing the purification of pDNA to ensure strict GMP compliance and high-quality standards. You will play a pivotal role in the site's expansion, assisting with the commissioning of equipment, process transfers from existing sites, and the coordination of DSP activities for upstream processes up to 200 liters. This role is highly collaborative, requiring close interaction with Upstream, Quality Control, and Quality Assurance departments. Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training as a Biological/Chemical Technical Assistant (BTA/CTA) or a degree in Life Sciences (Biology, Biotechnology, or similar).

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience in biotechnology or clinical production
  • Professional experience in Downstream Processing of DNA, preferably under GMP conditions
  • Initial experience in professional leadership or team coordination is preferred
  • Experience in the selection, maintenance, and calibration of laboratory and production equipment
  • Proven track record of working in cleanroom environments and following regulatory requirements
