Job Summary

This role involves managing and optimizing the digital infrastructure for the City of Worms' municipal committees and council meetings. As an Application Support Specialist, you will be responsible for the administration, maintenance, and further development of specialized session and information systems like more!rubin and RIS. Your day-to-day tasks include managing master data, user rights, and ensuring that all digital processes and documents comply with data protection and accessibility standards. You will act as the primary point of contact for technical support, providing first- and second-level assistance to administration staff and elected officials. Additionally, you will lead the Digitalization Committee's administrative office, prepare emergency concepts, and train users on new digital tools. This position is ideal for professionals with a background in public administration or legal services who possess a strong affinity for IT and organizational management. It offers the stability of a permanent public service contract (TVöD 9a) and the opportunity to shape the digital transformation of local government.

Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training as a Public Administration Specialist, Legal Assistant, Social Insurance Specialist, or a 3-year commercial apprenticeship with relevant professional experience.

Experience

  • Professional experience in a commercial or administrative environment required
  • Experience in data protection, accessibility, and document management systems is preferred
  • Proven experience in IT-supported work processes and technical support
  • Experience in public administration or legal services is highly desirable
