This part-time role (50%) serves as a vital technical link between physics research and educational practice. You will be responsible for the technical development and implementation of new experiments and experimental setups specifically designed for physics education research. Day-to-day activities include the commissioning, maintenance, and repair of technical laboratory equipment, as well as managing laboratory and collection rooms. You will play a key role in supporting students and external users through instruction and supervision, while also contributing technically to school laboratory projects and student competitions. A unique aspect of this position involves developing a relocation and setup concept for the department. This role is ideal for a technically skilled professional who enjoys a collaborative environment and wants to contribute to the advancement of science education through hands-on technical support and organizational excellence.

Required Skills

Education

Successfully completed vocational training as a Physics-Technical Assistant (PhyTA), Technical Assistant in a comparable field, or a similar technical qualification with relevant professional experience.

Experience

  • Professional experience in technical assistance within physics or a comparable technical field
  • Experience in the maintenance and repair of technical laboratory equipment
  • Previous experience in an educational, school, or didactic environment is highly desirable
  • Demonstrated experience in independent work organization and team collaboration
  • Experience in supervising and instructing students or external users in a laboratory setting
