Job Summary

This role within the State Criminal Police Office (LKA) of Schleswig-Holstein involves the development and operation of specialized technical systems for the 'Operational Technology' unit. As a Communications Engineer, you will be responsible for the independent design, construction, and administration of high-frequency measurement systems and radio direction-finding technology. Your daily tasks include signal analysis, software configuration, and the development of communication infrastructures to support tactical police operations. Beyond technical development, you will provide operational support during missions and conduct training for staff and national workshops. This position is unique as it combines high-level engineering with law enforcement support, offering a secure public service contract (TV-L E12) and the opportunity to work on mission-critical security technology in a collaborative, professional environment.

Required Skills

Education

University degree (minimum Bachelor's) in Communications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable field of study.

Experience

  • Professional experience in communications engineering or electrical engineering
  • Experience in the use of spectrum analyzers and signal analysis tools
  • Experience in software programming and application selection
  • 3 years of practical professional experience in a similar field required for direct E12 salary grading
  • Experience in conducting technical training or workshops is preferred

  • Must hold or be able to pass a SÜ2 security clearance. Must possess a valid driver's license. Willingness to participate in on-call shifts, overtime, and weekend work.
