Job Summary

This role within the Schleswig-Holstein State Criminal Police Office (LKA SH) involves the independent conceptualization, development, and operation of advanced radar systems, specifically focusing on Doppler and micro-Doppler technology. As part of the 'Operational Technology' unit, you will be responsible for integrating new sensors into existing platforms, configuring hardware and software subsystems, and establishing technical guidelines for radar analysis. Beyond technical administration, you will provide critical support during operational police missions and tactical deployments. The position also includes a training component where you will design and deliver workshops for internal staff and at national events. This is a unique opportunity to apply high-level engineering skills in a security-sensitive environment, contributing directly to public safety. Required Skills

Education

Bachelor's degree or higher in Communications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable technical field.

Experience

  • Professional experience in radar technology or a related engineering field
  • Experience in system integration including sensor technology and communication infrastructure
  • Experience in software application selection, programming, and operation
  • Experience in conducting technical training or workshops is preferred
  • 3 years of practical professional experience in a similar field required for higher pay grade (E12)
