Job Summary

This role offers a unique opportunity for skilled tradespeople to transition into the high-tech semiconductor industry in Dresden. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for the real-time monitoring of automation components and the localization of equipment malfunctions. Your day-to-day activities will include troubleshooting electrical, electronic, and mechanical assemblies, as well as serving as a primary contact for IT-related issues within the production environment. You will also perform preventative maintenance and support the installation or modification of automation systems. This position is particularly attractive due to its permanent contract, performance-based bonuses, and a structured shift model (6 days on, 4 days off) that provides significant time off. Working within a cleanroom environment, you will be part of a specialized team maintaining the critical infrastructure of the chip manufacturing industry.

Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training as an Electrician, Mechatronics Technician, Industrial Mechanic, or a comparable technical qualification.

Experience

  • Professional experience as an Electrician, Mechatronics Technician, or Industrial Mechanic
  • Experience in troubleshooting electrical and mechanical components
  • Willingness to work in a cleanroom environment
  • Readiness to undergo further training as a qualified electrician
  • Experience in shift work (specifically a rolling 6-on, 4-off schedule)
