Job Summary

This full-time, permanent role is based within the Central Payroll Office of the Diocese of Speyer, where you will be responsible for the end-to-end payroll processing of approximately 6,500 employees. Your daily activities will include independently calculating wages and salaries, managing sick pay, and maintaining digital personnel master data. As a central point of contact, you will provide expert advice to both employees and managers regarding payroll queries and interact frequently with social security agencies and tax authorities. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys working with numbers and structured processes. Required Skills

Education

Completed commercial vocational training (e.g., Social Security Specialist, Tax Assistant, or Office Management) ideally supplemented by further training/certification in Payroll.

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience in payroll accounting
  • Proven experience in calculating wages and salaries in compliance with tax and social security regulations
  • Experience in communicating with social security providers and authorities
  • Professional experience in a commercial or administrative environment
