Job Summary

This full-time, permanent position involves managing the end-to-end payroll process for a specific group of approximately 6,500 employees within the Diocese of Speyer. Day-to-day, the successful candidate will independently calculate wages and salaries, maintain digital payroll controls (DEKO), and manage personnel master data. A significant portion of the role involves serving as the primary point of contact for employees and managers regarding payroll queries, as well as coordinating with external authorities such as social security providers and tax offices. The role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with a strong affinity for numbers and structured work processes. Required Skills

Education

Completed commercial vocational training (e.g., Social Security Specialist, Tax Assistant, or Office Management) ideally supplemented by advanced training in Payroll.

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience in payroll accounting
  • Proven experience in calculating sick pay and social security contributions
  • Experience in communicating with health insurance funds and social security agencies
  • Experience working within the framework of German tax and labor regulations
