Job Summary
As an MES Recipe Designer at Roche, you will act as the digital architect for automated production processes within the Diagnostic Operations Penzberg team. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve designing, conceptualizing, and creating complex Manufacturing Execution System (MES) recipes that serve as the digital blueprint for life-saving diagnostics. You will bridge the gap between manufacturing science and IT by managing sub-projects, translating production requirements into technical solutions, and ensuring seamless integration between ERP systems and automation layers. This role is highly analytical, requiring you to evaluate MES data for process optimization while working within global IT strategies. This 5-year fixed-term position offers a unique opportunity to drive digital transformation in a world-leading healthcare environment, utilizing agile frameworks like Scrum and SAFe to deliver high-quality diagnostic products to patients globally.
Required Skills
Education
University degree in Natural Sciences, IT, or Automation Engineering; alternatively, a technical vocational qualification with several years of relevant professional experience.
Experience
- Professional experience in biotechnology or chemical engineering if applying with a technical vocational background
- Proven experience in the definition and conceptualization of complex MES recipes
- Experience managing sub-projects within an IT or manufacturing context
- Experience working within agile frameworks such as Scrum or SAFe
- Experience in connecting production equipment and ERP systems to automation layers
