Job Summary

As a Radar Systems Technician for the German Armed Forces (Bundeswehr), you will be responsible for the technical integrity and operational readiness of complex radar equipment. Your daily responsibilities include performing maintenance, repairs, and inspections up to maintenance level 2, utilizing sophisticated measuring and testing equipment alongside built-in test systems. You will handle specialized repairs on cable harnesses, coaxial cables, waveguides, and antennas, ensuring all technical documentation and equipment inventories are accurately maintained via IT systems. This role is unique for its focus on high-level defense technology and offers a stable public service contract. Candidates must be prepared for shift work and will undergo specialized training to become certified Radar Electronics experts. The position is located within a technical platoon, providing critical support for military operations and infrastructure.

Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training as an Electronics Technician for Devices and Systems, Communication Electronics Technician, IT System Electronics Technician, Power Electronics Technician, or a related field. Successful completion of the 'Radar Electronics' specialist course (or willingness to complete it).

Experience

  • Professional experience in electronics, specifically in devices, systems, communication, or energy electronics
  • Experience in maintenance and repair of complex technical systems up to maintenance level 2
  • Experience in technical reporting and documentation of defects and repairs
  • Experience with specialized testing and measurement tools for electronic systems
