Job Summary

As a Grid Connection Engineer for a renowned distribution system operator, you will play a pivotal role in the energy transition by developing customized connection solutions for diverse facilities, including wind farms, EV charging infrastructure, and large-scale industrial consumers. Your daily responsibilities involve designing technical concepts for grid connections and metering systems, navigating complex energy regulations such as Redispatch 2.0, and managing the full lifecycle of grid connection and usage contracts. This position offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of technical engineering and economic strategy within a cross-departmental project environment. The role is particularly attractive due to its flexible working model, offering up to three days of home office per week, a 38-hour work week, and the chance to directly influence the integration of renewable energy into the power grid.

Required Skills

Education

Degree in Electrical Engineering, Business Engineering, Economics, Law, or a comparable qualification.

Experience

  • Professional experience in grid operations or energy industry regulations is preferred
  • Proven experience in project management, including exposure to agile methods
  • Experience handling energy-sector specific systems and software
  • Professional background in developing technical and economic concepts for power systems
