Job Summary

As a Grid Sales Engineer for a renowned distribution system operator, you will play a pivotal role in designing custom solutions for connecting diverse customer facilities to the power grid. Your daily responsibilities include developing technical concepts for grid connections and metering systems for high-impact projects such as wind farms, EV charging infrastructure, and large-scale industrial consumers. You will manage the entire lifecycle of grid connection and usage contracts, ensuring both technical feasibility and economic viability. Beyond technical design, you will tackle complex energy industry topics like Redispatch 2.0 and feed-in tariffs, contributing your expertise to cross-departmental projects. This position offers a unique blend of technical engineering, project management, and regulatory compliance within a stable yet evolving energy sector. The role is particularly attractive due to its flexible work model, offering up to three days of home office per week and a 38-hour work week, providing an excellent work-life balance while working at the forefront of the energy transition.

Required Skills

Education

University degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Law, or a comparable qualification.

Experience

  • Professional experience in grid operations and energy industry regulations is preferred
  • Proven experience in project management, including exposure to agile working methods
  • Experience handling specialized energy industry software and systems
  • Demonstrated experience in developing technical and economic concepts for power grid infrastructure
