Job Summary

As a Grid Connection Engineer for a renowned distribution system operator, you will play a pivotal role in the energy transition by developing customized grid connection solutions. Your daily responsibilities include designing connection concepts for wind farms, EV charging infrastructure, and large industrial consumers, as well as managing metering systems for feed-in and consumption. You will navigate complex energy regulations such as Redispatch 2.0 and feed-in tariffs while managing the full lifecycle of grid connection and usage contracts. This role is highly collaborative, requiring you to contribute technical expertise to cross-departmental projects. The position is particularly attractive due to its 38-hour work week, a flexible hybrid work model allowing up to three days of remote work, and the opportunity to work at the forefront of modern energy infrastructure development within a stable, permanent contract.

Required Skills

Education

University degree in Electrical Engineering, Business Administration, Engineering, Law, or a comparable qualification.

Experience

  • Professional experience in grid operations and energy industry regulations is preferred
  • Demonstrated expertise in project management, ideally with exposure to agile methods
  • Experience working with energy-specific software systems and technical documentation
  • Proven track record in developing technical and economic concepts for infrastructure projects
