Job Summary

As an Energy Industry Consultant for a renowned distribution system operator, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the power grid. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve developing customized solutions for connecting customer facilities to the electricity grid, ranging from wind farms and charging infrastructure to large-scale industrial consumers. You will design concepts for grid connections and metering systems while navigating complex regulatory topics such as Redispatch 2.0 and feed-in tariffs. The role bridges technical and economic requirements, guiding the process through to the finalization of grid connection and usage contracts. This position is particularly attractive due to its high level of flexibility, offering a 38-hour work week and up to three days of remote work. You will have the opportunity to contribute to cross-departmental projects and influence the strategic development of energy infrastructure in a stable, permanent role with a market-leading company.

Required Skills

Education

Degree in Electrical Engineering, Business Administration, Engineering, Law, or a comparable qualification.

Experience

  • Professional experience in grid operations or energy industry regulations is preferred
  • Proven track record in project management, ideally with exposure to agile methods
  • Experience handling various technical or economic systems within the energy sector
  • Experience in developing technical and economic concepts for infrastructure projects
  • Background in managing stakeholder contracts and regulatory compliance
