Job Summary

As a Grid Sales Engineer for a renowned distribution system operator, you will play a pivotal role in designing custom solutions for connecting diverse facilities to the power grid. Your daily responsibilities include developing technical concepts for grid connections and metering systems for high-impact projects such as wind farms, EV charging infrastructure, and large-scale industrial consumers. You will manage the entire lifecycle of grid connection and usage contracts, ensuring both technical feasibility and economic viability. Beyond technical design, you will tackle complex energy industry topics including Redispatch 2.0 and feed-in tariffs. This role is ideal for professionals who enjoy cross-departmental collaboration and want to influence the future of energy distribution. The position offers a modern work environment with a 38-hour work week, 30 days of annual leave, and a flexible hybrid work model allowing up to three days of remote work per week.

Required Skills

Education

University degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Law, or a comparable qualification.

Experience

  • Professional experience in grid operations or energy industry regulations preferred
  • Experience in developing technical concepts for power grid connections and metering systems
  • Proven track record in project management, ideally with exposure to agile methods
  • Experience handling energy-specific software systems and technical documentation
  • Background in managing the end-to-end process of grid connection and usage contracts
