Job Summary

As a Systems Engineer for Ground Systems, you will play a pivotal role in the design and development of components for unmanned aerial systems (UAS), specifically focusing on ground-based infrastructure and aircraft components. Your daily responsibilities include creating technical requirements and specifications, overseeing the mechanical design of subsystems such as antenna masts, catapults, and ground control stations, and managing the transition from prototype to series production. You will also be responsible for developing test programs to ensure compliance with certification standards and collaborating with development leads to optimize system performance. This role is highly interdisciplinary, involving manufacturing support, quality management coordination, and the continuous improvement of engineering processes and tools. Required Skills

Education

Degree in Engineering (Diplom-Ingenieur), preferably in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a comparable field of study.

Experience

  • Professional experience in UAS device construction and mechanical engineering.
  • Experience in lightweight construction and fiber composite technology.
  • Demonstrated experience in structural analysis and strength calculation.
  • Proven experience in design management and technical documentation for series production.
  • Experience in creating and coordinating test programs for certification and verification.
  • Practical experience in manufacturing support and supplier qualification.
