Job Summary

This role involves the comprehensive administration and technical support of the P&I Loga 3 payroll and HR management system for the City of Mainz and various municipal clients in Rhineland-Palatinate. As an IT Application Support Specialist, you will be responsible for executing payroll processes in compliance with collective bargaining and statutory regulations, providing expert support to HR staff, and managing system requirements to optimize software performance. Your day-to-day will include error analysis, quality assurance testing, and conducting user training sessions. Required Skills

Education

University degree in Computer Science or Business Informatics; OR qualification for the A 11 LBesO civil service grade (Administration/Finance); OR completed Administrative Course II. Candidates with vocational training as an IT Specialist (System Integration/Application Development) or HR Clerk (Industrial/Personnel) may be considered via a trainee program.

Experience

  • Professional experience in payroll accounting and HR management systems
  • Experience in technical administration of HR software, preferably P&I Loga 3
  • Experience in error analysis and collaboration with software manufacturers
  • Experience working with IT ticket systems and structured documentation
  • Several years of professional experience required if holding a general university degree
