Job Summary

This role is based within the Office for Youth and Family in Mainz, where the successful candidate will be responsible for the strategic development and implementation of a comprehensive Quality Management (QM) system. Day-to-day responsibilities include establishing financial and technical controlling mechanisms, defining operational goals with measurable KPIs, and creating quality standards for child and youth welfare providers. You will also be tasked with mapping process flows and developing quality development agreements. This position is ideal for professionals who enjoy building systems from the ground up and working at the intersection of social services and administrative management. The role offers significant autonomy, flexible working hours with mobile work options, and a secure public service contract (TVöD). Required Skills

Education

Degree in Public Administration (Verwaltungslehrgang II), or a Bachelor/Diploma in Social Work, Social Pedagogy (with state recognition), Educational Science, Sociology, or Psychology.

Experience

  • Professional experience in social administration is preferred
  • Proven experience in quality management and project work
  • Demonstrated experience with administrative structures and workflows
  • Experience in developing process diagrams and operational goals

German (Fluent)

Additional

  • Willingness to complete a qualification as a Quality Management Officer is required if not already held. Candidates must be eligible for German public service pay grades A 11 LBesO, EG 10 TVöD, or S 15 TVöD.
