Job Summary

In this role, you will be responsible for the design and parameterization of symbols for electronic components in accordance with current industry standards and norms. Your daily activities involve creating detailed cell descriptions, including footprints, 3D views, pads, solder masks, and mechanical parameters. A significant portion of the work includes maintaining and updating the component library, ensuring a smooth transition of existing data into new formats. You will act as a cross-departmental consultant for circuit developers regarding component technology and library management. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to PLM system integration through scripts or macros and provides a long-term perspective to take on PCB layout tasks. It is an ideal role for a detail-oriented technician who enjoys working at the intersection of electrical engineering and digital design systems within a collaborative team environment.

Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training or state-certified technician (Techniker) degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a comparable qualification.

Experience

  • Professional experience in electrical engineering or electronics
  • Experience with Siemens/Mentor Xpedition or comparable PCB design tools
  • Experience in designing electronic symbols and footprints according to standards
  • Experience in component library maintenance and data migration
  • Experience in systematic problem-solving and cross-functional team collaboration
