Job Summary

As an IT Service Desk Specialist, you will serve as the primary point of contact for all hardware and software issues within the organization. Your day-to-day responsibilities include logging, analyzing, and resolving technical queries and incidents using a modern ticketing system based on ITIL standards. You will handle service requests both independently and collaboratively, ensuring effective solutions for end-users. A significant portion of the role involves on-site support, where you will manage the installation, configuration, rollout, and commissioning of hardware and software. Additionally, you will welcome and onboard new employees regarding their IT needs and contribute to the implementation of new service desk initiatives. This position is particularly attractive due to its permanent contract, hybrid working model, and the opportunity to work within Diehl Defence, a major international technology group, while maintaining a strong focus on service-oriented problem solving.

Required Skills

Education

Successfully completed vocational training with a focus on Computer Science (e.g., Fachinformatiker or equivalent)

Experience

  • Professional experience in IT Service Desk or a similar technical support environment
  • Experience in handling hardware and software incidents and service requests
  • Experience working with ITIL-based processes and ticketing systems
  • Practical experience in hardware commissioning and software configuration
