Job Summary

This part-time PhD position (67% FTE) at the Chair of Inorganic Chemistry II at Ruhr-University Bochum offers a unique opportunity to conduct high-level research in organometallic synthesis and homogeneous catalysis. The successful candidate will lead a project focused on developing new catalysts using Palladium, Nickel, and Copper, involving ligand design and the synthesis of air- and moisture-sensitive compounds. Day-to-day responsibilities include testing catalysts via high-throughput methods, characterizing compounds using advanced analytics (NMR, GC/MS, Crystallography), and documenting findings for international publication. The role is highly collaborative, involving student supervision and participation in international seminars.
