Job Summary

This high-level leadership role at the City of Nuremberg's IT Office involves directing a department of approximately 50 employees focused on customer management and user support. As the Head of Customer Service, you will be responsible for the strategic development of a long-term roadmap for municipal IT services, ensuring the digital transformation of the city administration. Your day-to-day will involve leading large-scale implementation projects, advising senior city management and committees on IT potential, and overseeing the legal and organizational frameworks of central IT services. Required Skills

Education

Master's degree or University Diploma in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a comparable field of study. Alternatively, a Bachelor's/FH Diploma with extensive experience, or qualification for the 4th Qualification Level (Higher Service) in Administrative Informatics or Administration and Finance.

Experience

  • At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in information technology and infrastructure
  • At least 5 years of leadership experience managing personnel and motivating teams
  • Extensive experience in managing and controlling city-wide or large-scale IT projects
  • Proven experience in leading agile teams and implementing organizational roadmaps
  • Experience in advising senior management and executive committees on IT strategy
