This role involves providing essential administrative and project support for the City of Nuremberg's Building Construction Department. As an Administrative Specialist, you will handle a diverse range of day-to-day tasks including personnel administration—such as managing leave requests, home office applications, and sick leave—and coordinating office logistics like mail processing and material management. You will serve as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders through telephone support and information services. Additionally, you will directly assist project managers within the construction and technical departments with invoice verification and correspondence. Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training in office management, industrial clerk, wholesale and foreign trade management, or administrative specialist (Verwaltungsfachangestellte/r / Fachprüfung I). Alternatively, qualification for the 2nd Qualification Level (QE) in the Civil Service (Administration and Finance).
Experience
- Professional experience in commercial or administrative office management
- Experience in handling personnel matters and administrative workflows
- Experience in office organization and inventory management
- Practical knowledge of public sector administration or construction-related administration is beneficial
- Experience using SAP systems and digital document management is preferred
