Job Summary
As a Bioinformatician at the German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ) in Berlin, you will play a pivotal role in developing patient-centric molecular diagnostic tools for cancer research. Working within the Department of Neuropathology at Charité, you will design and implement sophisticated analysis workflows for both long-read and short-read sequencing data. Required Skills
Education
Master of Science (M.Sc.) and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Computer Science, Bioinformatics, Physics, or a related field.
Experience
- Proven professional experience in next-generation sequencing (NGS) data analysis
- Experience in training and applying artificial intelligence models and MLOps workflows
- Experience with version control and workflow management systems
- Professional experience in designing and implementing analysis workflows for whole-genome and targeted sequencing
- Experience in collaborative, interdisciplinary research environments

Additional
- Physical location is in Berlin at Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin. Proof of immunity against measles is required per the Infection Protection Act (IfSG). The position is initially limited to 2 years.
