Job Summary

As an Energy and Environmental Management Officer at Diehl Defence, you will spearhead the cross-site management, development, and monitoring of management systems in accordance with DIN EN ISO 50001 and DIN EN ISO 14001. Your daily responsibilities include maintaining the integrated management system, establishing these systems at new locations, and advising leadership on legal and normative compliance. You will play a pivotal role in sustainability by conducting internal audits, coordinating with external certification bodies, and defining key performance indicators to measure environmental goals. This position is highly collaborative, requiring you to train employees and report directly to executive management regarding the system's effectiveness. It offers a unique opportunity to drive climate protection measures within a prominent defense technology company, combining technical oversight with strategic organizational development across multiple corporate sites.

Required Skills

Education

University degree in a technical or scientific field (e.g., Environmental Engineering, Energy Management, Process Engineering, Chemistry) or equivalent qualification; additional certifications in Energy/Environmental Management are preferred.

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in energy and environmental management systems
  • Extensive experience in auditing UMS/EMS management systems with relevant auditor qualifications
  • Proven track record in the practical application of corporate energy and environmental management
  • Experience in advising management and employees on legal and normative regulations
  • Professional background in technical or scientific fields such as environmental or process engineering
