Job Summary

This position is based within the Finance, Investments, and Sports Office of the City of Mainz, specifically in the Financial Accounting and Double-Entry Accounting Competence Center. As an SAP service provider for the city administration, you will play a vital role in the digital transformation of municipal finance. Your daily responsibilities include providing first and second-level support for interfaces to preliminary systems, managing SAP business partner workflows, and validating master data. You will also participate in projects related to the migration to SAP S/4 HANA, including testing new releases and conducting training. This role is ideal for a proactive professional who enjoys collaborative problem-solving and technical application management. Required Skills

Education

Qualified as a civil servant in the administrative and finance track (A 8 LBesO), or completed vocational training as a Management Assistant for Office Management (Kaufmann für Büromanagement) with a willingness to complete Administrative Course I, or completed Administrative Assistant training (Verwaltungsfachangestellte/r).

Experience

  • Professional experience in administrative or commercial roles
  • Experience in financial accounting or double-entry bookkeeping (Doppik) is preferred
  • Experience with SAP systems or technical interface support is desirable
  • Proven ability to work independently and within a team environment
  • Experience in project participation and user training is beneficial
