Job Summary
The German Cancer Research Center is seeking a Data Steward to join its Division of Virus-associated Carcinogenesis, focusing on advancing research data management (RDM) practices within the "Immunology, Infection and Cancer" research topic. This role is crucial for the NFDI4Immuno consortium, aiming to elevate immunological data management through FAIR Principles. The successful candidate will curate and manage immunological datasets, assist scientists in FAIR-compliant data handling, contribute to standardization efforts, and develop and conduct training courses. This position offers an exciting opportunity to shape transformative endeavors in research data infrastructure, working within a highly motivated team dedicated to a life without cancer.
Required Skills
Education
Master's degree and PhD in Immunology or a related subject
Experience
- Basic experience in research data management, metadata standards, ontologies, data representation, relational databases, and data infrastructures, with a strong desire to achieve proficiency in all areas
- Experience with community-lead standardization processes (preferred)
Languages
Additional
- Proof of immunity against measles required.
