Job Summary

This role offers the unique opportunity to lead a team of eight professionals in the development of the 'Urban Tech Republic' and 'Schumacher Quartier' at the former Tegel Airport in Berlin. As the Team Lead for Public Infrastructure, you will act as the client representative, overseeing the entire construction execution phase of large-scale infrastructure projects. Your daily responsibilities include high-level coordination between internal teams, external planning offices, construction companies, and government authorities. You will be responsible for financial planning, budget management, and risk assessment, ensuring that all projects meet strict cost, quality, and scheduling targets. Required Skills

Education

University degree (Master's or Diploma) in Infrastructure Engineering, Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Construction Project Management, or Business Administration/Economics.

Experience

  • Extensive professional experience in the result-oriented implementation of complex infrastructure and development projects for large sites or residential areas.
  • Proven leadership experience in managing technical teams.
  • Deep knowledge of technical and procurement regulations including VOB, HOAI, AHO, and VgV.
  • Experience with public sector budgetary requirements (LHO, ABau).
  • Experience in client representation and external stakeholder coordination.

  • The position is based in Berlin at the former Tegel Airport. Mobile work is possible, including up to 10 days per year from other European countries. Candidates must be comfortable working within the TVöD-VKA public sector framework.
