Job Summary

As the Head of Signaling Technology for Cologne's public transport provider (KVB), you will serve as the strategic and operational leader for the control and safety systems that form the backbone of the city's transit network. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve leading a multidisciplinary team, overseeing the planning, construction, and maintenance of signaling systems in compliance with BOStrab regulations, and ensuring maximum operational safety and economic efficiency. You will be responsible for budget management, resource planning, and driving digital innovation within the department. This role is unique as it combines high-level disciplinary leadership with technical oversight of critical urban infrastructure. Required Skills

Education

University degree in Electrical Engineering or Communications Engineering; alternatively, a certified Technician (Techniker) in Electrical Engineering with extensive experience in control and safety technology.
