Job Summary

This leadership role involves overseeing the Control and Safety Technology division for Cologne's public transport network. You will be responsible for the strategic and operational management of sub-departments including control and information technology, technical controlling, and signaling. Your day-to-day duties involve ensuring the operational safety, quality, and economic efficiency of rail infrastructure in compliance with BOStrab regulations. You will lead disciplinary teams, manage significant investment budgets, and oversee the planning, construction, and maintenance of technical systems. The position is unique as it combines high-level technical engineering oversight with organizational development, directly contributing to sustainable urban mobility and climate protection in a major German city. Required Skills

Education

University degree in Electrical Engineering, Communications Engineering, or a related Engineering field. Qualification as an Operations Manager under BOStrab (Betriebsleiter BOStrab) is required or must be obtained.
