As a Systems Engineer specializing in File Services, you will play a critical role in maintaining and modernizing the IT infrastructure for the German Federal Armed Forces (Bundeswehr). Your day-to-day responsibilities involve ensuring the stable and secure operation of file servers across multiple high-security organizations, including the BSI. You will manage storage systems utilizing NFS and SMB protocols, perform incident analysis, and execute system optimizations to meet strict SLA requirements. The role also involves the installation and administration of Linux-based systems and the development of internal automation tools. Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational IT training or a degree in a relevant IT field.

Experience

  • 5+ years of professional experience in IT systems engineering or administration
  • Extensive professional experience in Linux environments
  • Proven experience in project work and implementing new technologies
  • Experience in troubleshooting and fault analysis within SLA-driven environments
  • Experience in developing internal automation tools using PowerShell or REST-APIs
