Job Summary

This role involves conducting standardized vulnerability screenings for asylum seekers at the State Office for Immigration and Refugees in Schleswig-Holstein (LaZuF). As a Social Pedagogical Specialist, you will be responsible for identifying and classifying special protection needs during the initial contact phase without making clinical diagnoses. Your daily tasks include the legally secure documentation of screening results, initiating follow-up measures, and collaborating closely with social services, medical professionals, and legal protection officers. You will also contribute to the quality assurance and further development of screening processes in light of the Common European Asylum System (GEAS) reforms. This position offers a unique opportunity to work at the forefront of migration management in a public service capacity, ensuring that the reception process is conducted with dignity and security. Required Skills

Education

University degree (Bachelor or Diploma) in Social Work, Social Pedagogy, Social Sciences (with pedagogical focus), Educational Science, Social Psychology, or Public Administration. Alternatively, completion of the Qualification Course II (Qualifizierungslehrgang II).

Experience

  • Professional experience and specialist knowledge in dealing with vulnerable groups within the asylum and residency context
  • Experience in the coordination and evaluation of screening procedures is desirable
  • Professional experience in social work, social pedagogy, or public administration
  • Proven experience in structured, legally compliant documentation and reporting

Additional
