Job Summary
As a WAN Operations Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the digital future-readiness of the German Armed Forces (Bundeswehr). Based in Munich or Rheinbach, you will be responsible for steering and coordinating Wide Area Network (WAN) operations, specifically focusing on transport network technologies such as WDM and CET. Your daily activities will include planning and managing changes, analyzing the impact of incoming orders, and coordinating maintenance windows in close collaboration with deployment and technical planning teams. You will act as a central point of contact for ticket management and process optimization, ensuring all operations align with ITIL standards. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented IT professional who enjoys cross-functional communication and wants to contribute to national security. Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational IT training (e.g., IT Specialist for System Integration) or an equivalent qualification.
Experience
- At least 4 years of professional experience in a relevant technical field
- Professional experience in change planning and workflow coordination
- Proven experience working with IT ticket systems
- Experience with products from Cisco, Adva, or Nokia is preferred
- Professional experience in analyzing complex technical issues and customer requirements
