Job Summary

This role within the Manufacturing Technologies department in Bocholt focuses on the technical oversight and optimization of thermal processing for steel components. You will be responsible for defining process specifications and work instructions for case hardening, nitriding, quenching, and induction processes. A key part of the role involves cross-functional collaboration, where you will qualify and approve global heat treatment capacities, support external suppliers, and coordinate with international subsidiaries of the Flender Group. Beyond operational tasks, you will engage in damage assessment, discuss lab reports with customers, and represent the company in research associations and standardization bodies like DIN and ISO. This position is ideal for a metallurgical specialist who enjoys a mix of hands-on process troubleshooting and high-level strategic standardization. Required Skills

Education

Degree in Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a comparable field of study.

Experience

  • Professional experience in a comparable role within an industrial company or research institution
  • Extensive experience in process control, troubleshooting, and process implementation
  • Proven experience in data analysis for process optimization and digital projects
  • Experience in coordinating with external suppliers and managing customer audits
