Job Summary

The University of Bremen is seeking a service-oriented SAP Application Support Specialist to join their IT Service Center (Department 8). In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for the SAP hotline, providing expert technical support and troubleshooting for approximately 3,500 employees and 18,000 students. Your daily responsibilities include analyzing support requests, performing system customizing, ensuring quality assurance for interfaces, and documenting administrative procedures. Additionally, you will lead training sessions for SAP modules such as Materials Management (MM) and Public Sector Management (PSM). Required Skills

Education

University degree (Bachelor or FH Diploma) in Business Informatics, Computer Science, or a related field; alternatively, completed vocational training as an IT Specialist with significant professional experience.

Experience

  • At least 2 years of professional experience in SAP application support or a related field if holding a degree
  • At least 2 years of practical experience with SAP modules MM, PSM, CO, FI, or FIAA
  • At least 3 years of relevant professional experience required if applying with equivalent qualifications instead of a degree
  • Experience in consulting ERP system users and collaborating with external service providers
  • Proven experience in the design and adjustment of IT-supported administrative systems
