Job Summary

This role at the University of Bremen involves managing and developing financial controlling instruments within the central administration. As a Financial Controller, you will be responsible for the information service regarding university data, including statistics and rectorate reports. Day-to-day tasks include maintaining master data, monitoring secondary funds, and overseeing the SAP system's financing structure. You will act as a Key User for SAP CO and assist in the transition to SAP HANA. Required Skills

Education

University degree (Bachelor/Diploma) in Business Administration, Economics, Administrative Science, or a comparable field; or completion of the Administrative Specialist (Verwaltungsfachwirt) examination; or qualification for the first entry level of career group 2 in General Services.

Experience

  • At least 2 years of professional experience in accounting (internal or external), controlling, or reporting
  • Professional experience in private companies or public institutions, preferably in higher education or science administration
  • Proven experience with integrated financial systems, specifically SAP modules
  • Initial experience with digitalization topics and processes
  • Experience in developing and maintaining controlling instruments
