Job Summary

This part-time position (50% FTE) at the University of Bremen involves managing and developing financial controlling instruments within the central university administration. You will be responsible for maintaining master data, monitoring secondary funds, and overseeing the financing structure within SAP systems. Key day-to-day tasks include preparing university statistics, developing reporting systems such as 'University in Figures', and providing business consultancy to various university departments. You will also play a vital role in data quality management and the optimization of cost accounting processes in preparation for SAP HANA migration. Required Skills

Education

Successfully completed university degree (Bachelor or Diploma) in Business Administration, Economics, Administrative Science, or a comparable field with a relevant focus.

Experience

  • At least 2 years of professional experience in accounting (internal or external), controlling, or reporting
  • Experience within private companies or public institutions, preferably in higher education or research administration
  • Proven experience with integrated financial and booking systems, specifically SAP
  • Initial experience with digitalization themes and processes
  • Demonstrated experience in creating reports, statistics, and key performance indicators (KPIs)
